Wreathed Lion Bridge
This image is of one of four lion statues designed by Anna Hyatt Huntington on the famous Lion’s Bridge. On October 1932, the lions were mounted on the ends of the parapets of the dam that provides a breathtaking view of the James River and Lake Maury in Newport News, Virginia.
There is an annual ceremony to wreath the lions, marking the beginning of the Christmas festivities.
