Jefferson Davis Prison Cell
Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy, was held for 2 years at Fort Monroe, Virginia after his capture in Georgia in 1865.
He was briefly held in this unheated, open casemate cell before being moved to another area of the Fort due to his declining health.
