Lee Hall Train Depot
Lee Hall Depot was constructed in the 1880's as part of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad’s efforts to establish its Atlantic terminals at Newport News, thereby linking the Ohio River Valley with the sea.
Passenger service ended in the late 1970's, and is the only remaining station of 5 on the Lower Virginia Peninsula from the railroad’s expansion into Warwick County.
On September 24, 2010, the Lee Hall Depot was named to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Friends of the Lee Hall Depot Foundation, Inc. have for over a decade been tirelessly raising funds to restore the depot to its original glory.
